Counselling Services

Hello, my name is Linda

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor based in Medway, Kent.

I have walked along many difficult life paths. It wasn’t an easy journey and I took many wrong turns before finding the right one for me. Because of this, I decided to train as a Therapeutic Counsellor and help others find their way on their own life journeys.

What I do

I provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment, to assist you in making sense of your feelings and finding clarity with what’s happening. I offer warmth and kindness and listen to your story with empathy and genuine understanding, to help you to gain therapeutic growth. It can also help you to find more effective ways of coping and gaining better control of your life situations.

I understand it can be difficult to trust someone new, but together we can aim to build a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable exploring what’s going on in your life at a pace that feels right for you. It can sometimes be difficult to understand what’s happening in our lives, by talking things through with a trained counsellor, can help us to view things from a different perspective and can help us to re-evaluate our goals.

Because one size does not fit all, I use components of various modalities and work with you to determine what would be the best fit for you.

I know taking this first step is incredibly hard, but if you decide it’s for you then I will walk with you on your journey one step at a time.

About me

I have a volunteering history in Bereavement, Talking therapies for carers and loved ones, and in Abuse. Some of these charities I continue to work with and support. I have also worked for a crisis line offering one-off support in moments of crisis. My belief is that everyone deserves help and support when needed, and offering that support is paramount for our wellbeing.

There are many things I can help with including bereavement, helping carers come to terms with loved one’s illnesses and terminal diagnoses, depression, anxiety, low self-worth, low self-esteem, confidence issues, stress, abuse, trauma, uncertainty of life, and relationship difficulties to name just a few. Or if you feel you just need someone to talk to when things feel difficult to understand.

I keep up to date with Continued Professional Development as required by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am a registered member. I adhere to their Ethical Framework (2018) to keep you safe throughout our sessions.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) compliant, and am fully insured.

Additionally, I am registered with Psychology Today and the Counselling Directory.
